[Admittedly being swept up and carried off by a dragon is far from ideal. Diluc is clearly not a fan, and his arms are caught up in a way that keeps him from his weapon and doing anything useful with his Vision. It's not a good situation, and he hears Kaeya cry out for him, had seen the swiftly dwindling form of the other man as the dragon currently holding him fled off on large, powerful wings.
The landing and everything that followed had been, well, a surprise. Tumbling and rolling to his feet, Diluc had his sword out and was ready to fight when the dragon -- apparently name Kevin, of all things -- assured him that there was no need for that. It would be much better if he simply made himself comfortable. There were certainly places to do so, several nooks strewn with pillows and thick blankets, in between more traditional piles of gold and other glittery objects. And books. Lots of books.
What had started as an uneasy conversation rather quickly became almost spirited. And when Diluc tried to explain that Kaeya would be concerned, and that he'd rather not be separated from his lover so abruptly, Kevin seemed aghast that he'd separated them and made assurances that he'd bring Kaeya here.
That hadn't been exactly what Diluc had been going for, but it would work well enough, so he didn't protest as the dragon flew off.
Instead he settled himself down to read -- a frankly fascinating and in no way particularly chosen, of course -- book, until the flapping of leathery wings announced Kevin's return. Then Kaeya was tucked against his side, and Diluc set the book aside to turn into him, to return that kiss and wrap the other man in his arms to urge him closer. He could feel the concern and worry in the kiss, deliberately sending a rush of assurance through their bond. I'm all right. I'm here. We both are safe. Eventually he drew back.]
[Kaeya visibly looks Diluc over for injuries. He looks fine. He brushes red hair out of Diluc’s eyes.] Of course I was worried. I know you can handle yourself but it happened so fast!
[Fast like when the wyvern attacked all those years ago on the night that changed them both forever. His ears perk up at the sounds of the dragon moving about then refocus back on Diluc.]
[And he hated it. He lifts his hands now, fingers running through Kaeya's hair before settling at either side of his face, holding gently as he leans into kiss.]
We're fine, love. Kevin is actually very pleasant company.
[And from not far off, a rumble of agreement.] "Didn't mean to part two lovers. Can't have that, so I made it right."
[Kaeya blinks and mouths, 'kevin?' before the dragon speaks. He turns his head to look at the dragon and stares. Kevin is built as if he could burst through mountains.
His ears go back then he presses a hand to his chest and smiles.] No harm done. Especially since your lovely library seems to have intrigued my beloved.
[His smile turns sly as he turns to face Diluc.] Pirates, eh? And here I thought I was the only one to enjoy pirates. Something to tell me, Luc love?
[Diluc nods. Yes, Kevin. You get used to it Kaeya. Diluc gives Kevin a grateful nod of acknowledgment. Still kidnapped and they'll need to figure that out, but having Kaeya with him is already an improvement.
Then Kaeya keeps talking and Diluc starts rethinking that. He lifts the book up and very maturely pushes it against his lover's face.]
Just casual reading while I waited.
[Lies. LIES. It's all about his ridiculous 'pirate' right in front of him.]
