Tomatoes if they have them. And an aubergine.

[Veggies are good for you, after all. But it'll be nice to make dinner together.

...and he won't turn down Kaeya's company a bit longer now either.] Yes. We'll make quicker work of them together. Wash or dry? [He'll even leave it up to Kaeya]

I'll wash. You're the better dryer. [He slips from his chair and collects their plates and utensils.]

There are a few things I want from the market too. We can make a list before we both head out.

[A nod in agreement.

He carries his plates to the sink and helps to clear the remainder of the table. His gaze flickers to Kaeya repeatedly as he does. That done, he snags a towel for the dishes and waits for the other man by the sink.]

A good plan. Anything in particular you're looking for?

A good white or red, depending on if I can find decent cuts of meat at the butcher. I’m hopeful I’ll find decent ribs and loin.

[He eats a lot more meat these days. He sees it as a decent trade off to having the ability to shift to wolf. He sometimes hunts in the forest too.] We have that brisket and the flank steaks.

I’m just stocking up. [Freezers are amazing. He can’t get over how good a fridge is.]

Of course.

[Kaeya with the wine. But it's said almost -- almost -- fondly. But he perks up at the idea of the meat for the icebox. Really, the refrigerator and freezer are genuinely amazing.]

It can't hurt to have options in storage, especially since they'll keep.

Yes, and the more meat the better. Not that I’m against vegetables! But I crave the former a lot these days.

[The fridge is incredible. He doesn’t have to set up a warded area full of Cryo to maintain the same results. His tail wags.]

I’ll keep an eye out for healthy seedlings for the garden too.

You're taking this wolf thing very seriously.

[Diluc opines, but there's no sting in the barb. He's happy to indulge Kaeya's preference for meat.]

Good. [A pause and he adds, casually.] Maybe some decent grape juice.

[Kaeya spreads his hands apart in a wide gesture.] I can't help it. These enhanced senses came with some instincts and cravings. One of those is meat.

[He lets his tail brush Diluc's leg. Just to be a bit of a brat.] But, alright. I'll look out for those. Any other plants you want me to specifically look for?

Of course. We must see the wolf is properly fed.

[Diluc shakes his head, glancing down startled at the touch of that tail. This brat.

But it's nice, these simple moments.] Fresh herbs would be nice. Parsley. Chives.

[They'll help with making meals more interesting.]

Mmm, I wish we could get our hands on some lamp grass. [He misses it. Their scent. The light. He brushes his tail against Diluc's leg again.]

I'll be sure to bring home some lovely little seedlings. I trust you on what vintages come into this house.

Me too.

[And now Diluc has an idea that he will chase down as well.]

Good. We'll meet back here for dinner.
